About
LaMarr

La Marr “Deuce” Lubin is a renowned vocalist and performer whose career spans platinum success, international stages, and Southern Soul acclaim.

His journey began with a chance encounter at Arden Mall, where PIC and ENDO of the emerging group D.R.S. were searching for a singer with a Jodeci-style edge. After initially hesitating, Deuce auditioned — and soon caught the attention of Eazy-E, widely known as “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap.”

In 1993, Deuce signed with Capitol Records as a member of D.R.S. The group’s breakout hit, Gangsta Lean (“This Is for My Homies”), topped Billboard R&B and pop charts in 1993 and 1994, earning platinum status and cementing its place as a hip-hop classic.
